Having a little one at 25 will change your life. That happened to me in 2011 and life hasn’t been the same since. I am the 3rd born in a family of 4 kids. My Dad is a Molecular Biologist and Mum is a lawyer who served as the chair of FIDA – when the family sits down for dinner it sounds like the punch line to a joke, Two Lawyers, A Banker, A scientist, A Musician and a Marketer sit down to have fish…I  graduated with a degree in Marketing and Management in SA and worked my first job in IT sales when I got back to home; it instilled in me two invaluable life lessons: unwavering confidence and the importance of continuous learning. These lessons propelled me into the world of advertising, where I spent a fulfilling three years. This experience honed my communication and presentation skills, allowing me to confidently manage teams and processes. Transitioning to brand management at East Africa Breweries Limited and working on the Johnnie Walker “Walk with Giants” campaign featuring Paul Tergat, was my career crowning achievement up until that point. I immersed myself in the intricacies of these brands, mastering their history and characteristics. This journey culminated in a love for cocktails, which I discovered during the 2013 World Bartender of the Year competition – ON A YATCH IN THE MEDITERANIAN – my article from those travels was published in DRUM Magazine .The pandemic left me unemployed, like many other people I sought work where I could and ended up joining the agency I work at now. I lead a team of super talented individuals working across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania – working on brands large and small, local and international, trying to get them into the hands of the people who need them the mostOn the personal side, my life now comprises of lots of cooking, trying to move and keep the body healthy, running a small cocktail brand – RyeBoy Cocktails and trying to be the best parent, partner and professional I can be
